Current prototype storage
Capsules are stored in the visitor’s own browser using localStorage. That means they stay on the same device/browser and are not sent to a server in this static version.

A time capsule site has to feel safe.
This page is written like a real trust section so the project feels ready for users, while still being honest about the current static version.

Do not store secrets yet
Until a real backend with authentication, encryption, backups, and recovery is added, users should not store passwords, private legal documents, or deeply sensitive information.

Not a delivery service yet
This preview does not email recipients, sync between devices, take payments, or guarantee future delivery. Those features require a later service.

Your control
Delete individual capsules from the Vault or use the clear-vault control. Clearing browser data may also permanently remove preview capsules.
Before a cloud version
What must be completed before real cloud storage or delivery.
Accounts
Email login, user dashboard, password reset, and device-independent capsule access.
Database
Store capsules safely with backups, encrypted fields, and deletion controls.
Scheduler
Daily job checks unlock dates and sends email/text links when a capsule arrives.
Payments
Free basic capsules, paid media uploads, friend deliveries, printable gifts, and long-term storage.
